Variations let you create a single parent product that comes in multiple versions — like a T-shirt available in Small, Medium, Large, and XL, or a phone case in different colors. Each variation has its own SKU and can have its own price.

Setting Up Variation Templates

  1. Go to Products → Variations → Add Variation
  2. Name the variation type
    e.g. "Size", "Color", "Storage Capacity"
  3. Add the values
e.g. for Size: Small, Medium, Large, XL, XXL. For Color: Red, Blue, Green, Black.
  4. Save the variation template

Adding a Variable Product

  1. Go to Products → Add Product
  2. Set Product Type to "Variable"
  3. 3Select the variation template
e.g. "Size" — the form will automatically create fields for each variation value.
  4. Set price and SKU for each variation
Each variant (Small, Medium, Large) can have its own purchase price, selling price, and barcode/SKU. Stock is tracked separately per variant.
  5. Save
On the POS screen, when you add this product to a sale, a popup will ask the customer to select the variation (e.g. which size).
At the POS screen, variable products show a selection prompt so staff can choose the specific variant before adding it to the cart. Stock is deducted from the specific variant, not the parent product.
