If you have many products to add, the bulk import feature saves hours of data entry. You fill in a spreadsheet template and upload it.

Importing Products

  1. Go to Products → Import Products
  2. 2Download the CSV template
Click "Download Sample File". Open it in Excel or Google Sheets to see the required columns and format.
  3. Fill in your product data
Each row is one product. Required columns are: Product Name, Unit, Category, Selling Price. Purchase Price, Barcode, and Opening Stock are strongly recommended.
  4. Important: Pre-create categories and units
The import will fail for any product that references a Category or Unit that doesn't already exist in the system. Go to Products → Categories and Products → Units to create them first.
  5. Upload the filled CSV
Click Browse, select your file, and click Import. The system validates each row and shows you a preview of what will be imported.
  6. Confirm the import
Review any errors (shown in red). Fix them in your CSV and re-upload if needed. Then click Confirm to import.
Before importing: Make sure all Categories and Units referenced in your CSV already exist. The system will reject rows with unrecognized categories/units. Also check that you're using the exact column headers from the template — extra spaces or changed names cause errors.

Exporting Products

Go to Products → All Products and click the Export button. This downloads a CSV of all your current products with their prices, stock levels, and categories. Useful for backups, bulk editing in a spreadsheet, or migrating to another system.

Deleting Products

To delete products in bulk, go to Products → All Products, check the products you want to delete, and click Bulk Delete. Important: you cannot delete a product that has been sold — the system will prevent it to preserve invoice history. Set those products to Inactive instead.
