Product Expiry Tracking
For perishable goods or products with expiration dates (food, medicine, cosmetics), Stockenzo can track expiry dates per batch.
To enable: when adding a product, turn on "Has Expiry Date". When you receive stock (via a purchase), you'll be prompted to enter the expiry date for that batch. The system will warn you when products are near expiry or already expired.
At POS, when a product with expiry tracking is added to a sale, the system shows available batches sorted by expiry date (oldest first by default — FEFO: First Expired, First Out). The salesperson can select the appropriate batch.
Lot Numbers (Batch Tracking)
Lot numbers let you track which batch a product came from — useful for quality control, recalls, or pharmaceutical compliance. Enable "Has Lot Number" on the product, then enter the lot number when receiving stock via a purchase. At POS and in reports, you can see exactly which lot each sale came from.
Stock Alerts
Set an Alert Quantity on each product. When stock falls at or below this threshold:
- A notification appears on the Dashboard
- The product is highlighted in the Products list
- An email notification can be sent (if email notifications are configured)
To set the alert: edit the product → scroll to Alert Quantity → enter the minimum stock level → Save. The alert quantity should be set to your reorder point — enough stock to cover the time it takes to get a new delivery.
Product Stock Alert Report
Go to Reports → Stock Alert Report to see all products currently below their alert quantity in one place. Use this as your daily restocking checklist.
Product Warranty
Record warranty terms on products. When enabled: edit the product → enable Warranty → enter warranty duration (months or years) and description. When the product is sold, the warranty details appear on the invoice/receipt, and you can look up warranties by invoice number or product in reports.
Rack / Row / Position
For physical stores or warehouses, you can record where each product is physically located: edit the product → set Rack, Row, and Position. These details appear on purchase orders and stock adjustment forms, making it faster to locate products when doing stock counts or fulfilling orders.
