Searching in Settings
Settings has many options across multiple tabs. Instead of clicking through everything, use the Search Settings box at the top of the Settings page. Type any keyword (e.g. "logo", "tax", "currency") and matching settings are highlighted immediately. This saves significant time.
Business Settings
Go to Settings → Business Settings. This is the primary configuration page for your business:
| Setting | What to configure |
|---|---|
| Business Name | Your official business name — appears on all invoices and reports |
| Business Logo | Upload your logo (PNG, JPG, SVG). Recommended: 200px wide with transparent background |
| Currency | Your default currency (LKR, USD, INR, etc.) |
| Currency Symbol Position | Whether symbol appears before or after the number (e.g. $100 vs 100$) |
| Decimal Places | Number of decimal places for prices and quantities |
| Financial Year | Start month of your financial year (affects annual reports) |
| Timezone | Your local timezone — critical for accurate date/time on invoices |
| Default Tax | Tax rate applied to products by default |
| Stock Accounting Method | FIFO or LIFO — affects how cost of goods is calculated |
| Sell Without Stock | Allow sales even if stock quantity is zero (On for services, Off for physical goods) |
| Show Out of Stock | Whether zero-stock products appear in POS search |
| Tax Number (VAT/GST) | Your business tax registration number — appears on invoices |
Invoice Settings
Go to Settings → Invoice Settings:
- Invoice Scheme: Set prefix (e.g. INV-), starting number, and digit padding. Click "Set Invoice Scheme" to configure. Each location can have its own scheme.
- Invoice Layout: Choose format (A4, Thermal, Half page) and configure what appears on the invoice — logo, address, terms, signature line, etc.
- Receipt Footer: Add a custom message at the bottom of receipts (e.g. "Thank you for your business! Returns accepted within 7 days.")
Language & Translations
Go to Settings → Business Settings → Default Language. Change the system language — Stockenzo supports many languages. Individual users can also set their own language preference from their profile.
To add or edit translations (translate menu items, labels, or messages to your local language):
- Go to Settings → Business Settings → Translations
- Select the language to edit
- Find the phrase to translate and enter its translation
Each system phrase is listed with its English original and a field for your translation. - 4Save
Custom Fields Labels
Many forms in Stockenzo have optional custom fields (e.g. Custom Field 1, Custom Field 2 on contact forms, products, purchases). You can rename these to match your business needs:
Go to Settings → Business Settings → Custom Fields Labels. Change "Custom Field 1" to whatever makes sense for your business (e.g. "Supplier Reference", "Product Code", "Department").
Changing the Application Theme Color
Go to Settings → Business Settings → Appearance. Select a primary color for the navigation bar and sidebar. This lets you brand the system with your company colors. Changes take effect immediately for all users.
After making changes in Settings, always click Save/Update at the bottom of the section. Settings changes don't auto-save.
